MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at meeting: Brent Boyle, Steve Lowe, Nat Hart, Rich Munson, and Lynn Easley.

Present Minutes from last meeting
The minutes were presented by Lynn Easley.
Motion to accept minutes by Steve Lowe, seconded by Rich Munson.
Financial Report
Financial report was submitted by Steve Lowe.
No new updates on financial report.
Receipts:
Receipts through August 15th were $1,725.00, which are dues from seventeen members and the sale of one bur-gee.
Disbursements:
Disbursements through August 15th were $1,432.86 and are summarized as follows.
$640.00 – Barge Slip & Locker Rental.
$455.78 Social – Annual Membership Meeting.
$138.46 Three Year Telephone Contract.
$127.17 Equipment Repairs (paint barge).
$45.53 Social (March 28th work party lunch).
$19.97 Copies.
$5.95 Trophy Engraving.
Surplus/Deficit:
L.P.Y.C. has a cash surplus through August 15th of $292.14.
Cash Projection:
The budget projects a cash deficit for the year 2026 of $925.00.
General Comments:
The cash balance at August 15th was $15,729.65, which includes $9,144.61 in the capital fund.
Treasury’s report was accepted by acclimation.
Officer and Directors Reports
Brent Boyle – Stated that he would miss the September meeting and Steve Lowe would chair that meeting. Also reported that Peter Pitonak resigned his director position.
Old Business
Slip Waiting List:
No one waiting for a slip currently, one slip is open.
New Business
Open Directors Position.
For now, it was decided not to fill the director’s position vacated by Peter Pitonak resignation.
Recruitment of New Members.
Discussed the possible open house, introduction to sailing in October coinciding with a possible dock party. The event would need to be advertised outside the current club members list. Other than that, no other new ideas were proposed.
2026 Upcoming Events Calendar.
August Social. No social is planned for August, although Brent Boyle proposed a breakfast sail event.
August 29th – First race of the Fall Series. With the current heat, it was proposed moving the start time to 10:00 am to avoid the afternoon heat.
September 12th. – Second of the Fall Saturday Series Races. Brent Boyle indicated that he would not be able to attend this one.
Director’s Meeting – Tentatively moved to September 19th to avoid the conflict with the Saturday Race on the 12th.
October 17th - Currently planned is an afternoon sail or flotilla sail. Several directors said they would be able to make that date.
